176 survey responses obtained from the Legal Survey for Courts served as

the basis for this study’s qualitative analysis.

Thematic coding was used to assess the responses, classifying them according to recurrent ideas like:

  • Resources for research
  • Guidelines for procedures
  • Technology requirements
  • Concerns about public access
  • Infrastructure and personnel

Non-substantive answers (such as “N/A” and “None”) were noted for completeness but were not included in the weighted analysis. Broad institutional representation is ensured by the diversity of responders, which includes trial courts, appellate courts, chancery courts, and legal libraries.
